How Domain Transfer to Hostking Works
Already own a domain with another provider? You can transfer it to Hostking to manage it alongside your hosting. If you don't have a domain yet, you'll want to register one instead.
Transferring a .co.za Domain
.co.za transfers don't require an EPP code. Once you start the transfer, a confirmation request is sent directly to the domain's registered owner for acceptance. Some hosts lock .co.za domains, so you may need to unlock yours first — check with your current provider if you're not sure. .co.za domain transfers are free.
Transferring a .com or Other International Domain
Most other domains require an EPP (authorisation) code from your current registrar. Your domain will usually also need to be unlocked first. Once you submit your EPP code through our transfer request form, an approval email is typically sent to confirm the transfer. These transfers usually take 24 hours to 7 days, and for most eligible domains, extend your registration by one year at the standard transfer price.
Auto-renewal Options
Secure the longevity of your domain effortlessly with our auto-renewal feature. Say goodbye to expiration worries – we've got you covered. Your domains will remain active seamlessly, eliminating the need for manual intervention and ensuring an uninterrupted online presence.
Trust us to keep your digital identity thriving with hassle-free auto-renewal options.
Hostking offers flexible auto-renewal settings to ensure your services never expire, but you can also choose to let a domain expire through the client area if preferred.
